Sports Early, Music Late on Henderson Blvd
Southbar runs on a simple idea: sports early, live music and DJs late. The biggest matchups go up on massive screens with the sound turned on, and when the final whistle blows the bands load in and the DJs take it from there. You don't have to choose between watching your team and having a real night out — both happen under the same roof on Henderson Blvd.
Every fan base is welcome here. Whether you're in an away jersey surrounded by the wrong colors or you brought fifteen people who all want the same fight card on, we'll find you a screen and turn it up. Nobody gets told to keep it down.

Three Things Worth Coming Out For
What's running changes with the schedule — the college slate, the fight calendar, who's booked on stage. Here's what stays true no matter which night you walk in.
- Game day with the sound on. We put the marquee matchups on the big screens and we play the audio, so you hear the crowd and the calls instead of a house playlist over muted TVs.
- Live bands after the games. When the sports wrap up, the stage takes over — real bands, real amps, and a room built to actually hear them in.
- DJs running late. After the last set, the DJs keep the floor going until 3AM. Come for the game, stay for the music, and leave when the lights come on.
Groups, birthdays, fantasy drafts, watch parties for a specific fight or final — give us a call and we'll tell you what's already on the calendar and what we can set aside for you.
SouthBar is South Tampa's new home for sports, live music, DJs, and nights that don't end after the final whistle.
What Regulars Say About Their Night Here
A few notes from people who've spent a night with us.
Came in for the Bucs game in an away jersey fully expecting grief and instead got a seat, a screen and the volume up. Ended up staying for the band that played after. Didn't plan on that at all. — Marcus D.
The sound in here is genuinely good, which I don't say about many bars with a stage. Caught a four-piece covering a bunch of stuff I hadn't heard live in years and you could actually hear the vocals over the guitars. — Priya R.
We had eight of us in for a fight night and the staff kept the table topped up without us having to flag anyone down once. Then the DJ started and half our group refused to leave. Long night. Worth it. — Tony V.
